Carnival, a kaleidoscope of flavours

Dishes that are as colourful as confetti and tantalising as streamers, capable of satisfying the eye and the palate. Here is a menu that is simple to prepare and ideal for carnival, because it serves up traditional flavours along with all the colours of the rainbow.
ANTIPASTO
> Cheese and pomegranate circles
Enticing and light and made with toasted bread, cheeses and pomegranate, this is the ideal appetiser for an informal dinner or a standing buffet.

FIRST COURSE
> Spaghetti with sweet potatoes and mixed vegetables
By reading the ingredients, it automatically stands out that this is a colourful, light and easy to enjoy dish. There are lots of vegetables cut small like confetti. The perfect dish for vegetables' lovers.

SECOND COURSE
> Diced pork with pumpkin
A colourful and spectacular second course dish. The pumpkin is filled with diced pork sautéed and served straight to the table as though it were a casserole dish. Ideal for surprising guests, including little ones.

SIDE DISH
> Stuffed onions
Onions cut in half become like small bowls to be stuffed with courgettes, mashed potato and cheese au gratin. A filling side dish that is ideal for accompanying meat second courses.

DESSERT
> Carnival Tortelli
Typical in carnival time, the preparation of this dessert varies in each region of Italy. Excellent without a filling, sweet tortelli can be filled with confectioner's cream or jam or served with a dusting of icing sugar and accompanied by apricot jelly.
