An elegant restaurant which hosts guests in a sixteenth-century palazzo in the town of Colle Val d'Elsa. The chef and patron Gaetano Trovato plays on traditional Tuscan cuisine, reinventing it with creativity: the resulting dishes combine the local products imaginatively whilst respecting the seasonal nature of the products. One can also sleep at Arnolfo: there are just four rooms, each furnished differently but all in a classical style which combines antiques with modern art. In the summer, a pleasant open air terrace allows guests to dine in the garden. Specialities: Tortelli with ricotta and a light tarragon pesto and pecorino from Pienza, golden turbot with basil and scallop medallions with tomato, zuccotto with Alchermes liqueuer, chocolate and candied fruit. Wine cellar: A varied wine list with 8,000 bottles and 600 fine Tuscan, Italian and foreign cru. Professional sommelier Giovanni Trovato serves the wines.

The creative dishes of this restaurant, all made using genuine local products, make this restaurant the pride and joy of the Chianti area. One starts out with a pie made with stone-ground Garfagna polenta and barley, with a leek and pecorino cheese sauce, moving on to the chickpea gnocchetti with fresh cherry tomatoes, gota (cheek) and rosemary, then on to roasted loin of wild boar flavoured with Mediterranean maquis, to wind up with the pistachio cake with saffron cream. An excellent selection of wines. A summer terrace with a view of Siena's hills complete the scene splendidly.

An intimate setting in an ancient palazzo in a small medieval hamlet. Careful presentation of the food is combined with a locally inspired cuisine with innovative touches. Homemade bread and grissini accompany dishes such as pear and cheese crepe with white truffle, pigeon with pancetta en croute stuffed with chestnuts, lamb shank stew with white baby onions and strips of tomato. A well-formulated wine list features a preponderance of Tuscan labels.

Game, truffles and porcini mushrooms are just some of the basic ingredients of a genuine cuisine to be savoured immersed in a small yet fascinating village with ancient walls. A wine-bar with a strong culinary vocation in the heart of Greve in Chianti. A rustic venue where chef Alessio Polino delights his guests with dried salt cod and potato tart in filo pastry with Colonnata lard, rabbit tortelli with aromatic herbs on a melted pecorino cheese with balsamic vinegar, ricotta and pear pie with cinnamon to mention just a few. Splendid Tuscan wines with well-considered incursions into other regions.
