Tagliatelle
Cooking time: 6 min
The legend has it that a talented court chef was inspired by a noblewoman's hairdo during the Italian renaissance period, and dedicated this new dish to her in the occasion of her wedding.
Barilla reinterpreted this traditional shape, paying extra attention to the quality of the ingredients and the processing of the layers, which must be rough and porous. Today Tagliatelle Barilla represent pasta in one of the most refined and tasty shapes, which are now part of La Collezione Barilla.

The Shape
Tagliatelle La Collezione Barilla are thin strips of pasta with a flat section. With their rich and light layers they look like precious nests. When they are cooked, they unwind in the dish in elegant and subtle shapes. The main players in a great number of recipes in the Italian cuisine, usually accompanied by traditional meat or light fish sauces, they add an artistic touch to any of your recipes.

Suggestions for use
Tagliatelle La Collezione Barilla hug and cuddle in their sinuous shapes the most full-bodied sauces as well as the lightest fish or vegetables ones.
Barilla suggests you try them with a shrimps and zucchini flowers sauce: a refined sauce, simple yet delicious that creates a burst of flavours in the mouth.
If you like more traditional sauces, try Tagliatelle with Pesto alla Siciliana, with nuts and ricotta cheese, which you'll also find in the Barilla Sauces collection. If you add some dairy cream, you'll bring true Italian cuisine flavour to the table.
