Basilico

Barilla Basilico sauce combines with very many pasta shapes.
A simple yet versatile sauce, probably the first "red" sauce in pasta's history, made from the combination of tomato pulp and fresh basil leaves: an eternal and incomparable aroma.

Suggestions for use
It's not easy to find a shape of pasta that doesn't go well with Basilico sauce. The most common combination is with Penne Rigate: one of the most popular shapes in Italian cuisine, suitable for all occasions.
To give an extra touch of freshness, Barilla suggests adding a drop of full-bodied extra virgin olive oil. For an even more appetizing first course dish, we suggest adding 2 tablespoons of crescenza or stracchino cheese.
